About Us

A little about us:

In August 2006, after the recent passing of their mother, the two Szponar sisters on their way to breakfast parked in front of a soon to be vacant store at 107 S. Main Street in Culver. The idea of opening a gift shop seemed to come from nowhere or maybe somewhere outside of them. With Sue in Fort Wayne and Ursula near Culver, the two began to explore the idea. It was always Sue's dream to have her own business, so she started talking to some local shop owners who were very encouraging.

In January 2007, Sue and Ursula headed to Chicago to attend the semi-annual Gift Show at the Merchandise Mart to make their first purchases for their newly formed enterprise, "Diva." On March 30, 2007, they opened their doors. It has been a labor of love for the sisters who strive to bring in unique merchandise at a variety of price levels.

In September 2010, they expanded to the building next door doubling the floor space and growing from a small gift shop to a wide-ranging women's accessories, home decor, and general gifts destination store.

Sue and Ursula would't be here without the support of their customers. So, they thank you for giving them the opportunity to proudly serve Culver and the neighboring communities.
